Description:
Tenders are invited for TA in Mainstreaming of Technology, Innovation and Spatial Data to Enhance Finance, Disaster Risk Management and Urban Development. The World Bank has secured financial support from the Korea World Bank Partnership Facility (KWPF) trust fund to provide technical assistance to the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar (RGoZ) in the area of spatial data management. The technical assistance assignment will be closely aligned with activities under the Boosting Inclusive Growth for Zanzibar (“BIG-Z”) project which is a World Bank financed project. The World Bank, as the implementer of this KWPF trust fund, is seeking services of a consulting firm to undertake capacity building activities towards enabling government stakeholders to mainstream spatial data solutions to enhance performance on day-to-day urban management functions and improve long term urban development outcomes. Specifically, the capacity building activities of the assignment target enhancing skills and knowledge to enable government stakeholders to: i) establish, operate and sustain the various aspects of Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) including system, data, and governing framework; ii) digitalize data and processes to strengthen own source revenue collection, urban growth and disaster risk management performance; and iii) improve municipal revenue collection and expenditure for financial sustainability The WBG reserves the right to publicly disclose contract award information, including but not limited to, name of company receiving the award, brief description of services, and contract award amount, for any contract award valued over US$250,000.
