  • Tender are Invited for The Tanzania Ministry of Water intends to prequalify contractors for the Construction of Farkwa Dam and Access Road. The assignment involves construction of the Farkwa Dam, to be located downstream of the confluence of Bubu and Mkinki rivers in Mombose and Bubutole Villages of Farkwa Ward, Chemba District, Dodoma Region, is approximately 130 kilometers north of Dodoma on the road to Kondoa District. The dam includes a 32 m high composite roller compacted concrete (RCC) and earthfill Main Dam with intake, outlet works, and spillway (FSL 1,110m), a 15 m high earthfill Saddle Dam, and associated site access roads totaling 12 km. The dam is designed to provide water for domestic use, irrigation, and livestock purposes. It is expected invitation for Bids from the Prequalified bidders will be made in July 2024.
