• Tenders are invited for Design, Supply and Installation of 400/220/33 Kv Mbeya Substation and 400/220/33kv Tunduma Substation Design, supply, and installation of 400/220/33kV Mbeya substation and 400/220/33kV Tunduma substation Mbeya Substation • The proposed Mbeya substation will be located in Uyole approximately 9 km east of existing 220 kV substation in Mbeya and about 15 km east of Mbeya township. • The proposed Mbeya substation is a greenfield 400/220/33kV substation that will be equipped with a 400kV double bus bar including bus-coupler, four (4) 400kV line bays including shunt reactors, and two (2) 250 MVA 400/220/33kV auto-transformer and associated bays. The substation will also be equipped with a 220kV double busbar, bus-coupler, two (2) 220kV line bays for the cut in connection of the existing 220kV Mbeya-Makambako transmission line, two (2) 60 MVA 220/33kV power transformer and associated bays, and 33 kV switchgear room. Tunduma Substation • The proposed 400/220/33kV Tunduma substation will be located about 18km northwest of Tunduma township in the Songwe Region. • The proposed Tunduma substation is a greenfield 400/220/33kV substation that will be equipped with a 400kV double busbar, bus coupler, three (3) 400kV line bays including shunt reactors, two (2) 250 MVA 400/220/33kV auto-transformer and associated bays, and three (3) bays for the 400/330kV auto-transformer bays to be installed under a separate contract. The substation will also be equipped with a 220kV double busbar, bus-coupler, two 125 MVA 220/33kV power transformers, and 33kV switchgear room. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the Tanzania Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) at the address given under paragraph no. 5 during office hours from 08:00 hours to 17:00 hours East African Time. A complete set of Prequalification document in English will be available upon submission of application letter to the address given under paragraph no. 5 below and upon payment of nonrefundable fee of USD 200 (two hundred USD or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency) - transaction charges exclusive payable by Applicant. The method of payment will be as follows: (a) The Complete set of prequalification documents (hard and soft copy) may be purchased from the Offices indicated below upon payment of a non-refundable fee. The Applicant or Applicant-s agent shall collect the Prequalification Document at the Employer-s office on a normal working day between 8:30Hours to 15:30Hours East African Time. (c) Local Interested Applicant may buy Prequalification Document at TANESCO premises and pay locally through National Microfinance Bank (NMB) upon receipt of reference number from TANESCO.
