• Tenders are invited for Consulting Services Urban Infrastructure and Iwrm Program - Feasibility Study Tunduma & Vwawa-Mlowo Requested Consulting Services: Tanzania is among the developing countries whose social and economic welfare is already vulnerable to the negative effects of climate change. In addition, rapid urbanization is a major development challenge, especially for fast growing towns and cities. The growing and competing demand on water use is increasing due to population, social-economic utility, hydropower and agricultural expansion. The Government of Tanzania developed the National Water Policy (NAWAPO) in 2002 (reviewed in 2020) and is implementing the Water Sector Development Programme (WSDP) to enhance the implementation of the NAWAPO. In this context the Ministry of Water (MoW) - with financial assistance from the German Government through KfW Entwicklungsbank and with a maximum gross budget of EUR 850,000.00 - now intends to engage a Consultant for the elaboration of a Feasibility Study, which shall be carried out in a sequence of three steps: 1) Elaboration / outline of the details of the “integrated and holistic approach” to be applied for the Program 2) Applying the agreed “integrated and holistic approach” to the two towns Tunduma and Vwawa-Mlowo and identifying individual Projects for the two towns including respective measures/packages 3) Preparation of selected and confirmed individual Projects for both towns on Feasibility and Preliminary Design level An “Invitation for Pre-Qualification”(PQ) with more detailed information on the program-s components and measures, the type of services to be provided as well as the documents to be submitted for prequalification, including the envisaged evaluation methodology, is available upon written request from the Secretary Ministerial Tender Board, Ministry of Water, Government City, Maji Street ,P.
