Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Water Use Efficiencies and Safe Uses of Pesticides and Fertilizers Techniques for Domikwa Furrow - Water User Groups. 0 Scope of Work Capacity building interventions would target 1,026 farmers in DOMIKWA furrow (Usa river). The intervention will take place in 3 irrigation sub-canals within Usa DOMIKWA furrow, namely Migadini, Kwaugoro and Taka. Each canal will engage about 342 farmers during the period of six months. The interventions will focus on two main areas: (a) increasing water availability by improving water use efficiencies (reducing losses) at the farm through training smallholder farmers on water use efficiency and (b) reducing water pollution in the furrow for a healthier water source for neighboring villages by training small-holder farmers on agricultural best-practices particularly with polluting chemicals.
