Description:
Expression of Interest are invited for Climate Change Impact and Adaptation Modeling for Tanzania Climate change is a major risk to good development outcomes; and the World Bank Group is committed to helping countries integrate climate action into their core development agendas. The Country Climate and Development Reports (CCDRs) aim to help countries shift from addressing climate change as an incremental cost and isolated investment to systematically incorporating climate risks and opportunities at every phase of policy planning; investment design; implementation and evaluation of development outcomes. This request for expressions of interest is for an assignment to carry out the analytics on the impact of climate change on Tanzania-s economy. The assignment will require a firm that has the capacity and experience in modeling impact channels using suitable models (e.g.; biophysical; hydro-economic; land optimization models; blue economy; extractives) to: (i) assess the impacts of climate change on key sectors of Tanzania-s economy and the economy overall; (ii) capture the fiscal implications of extractive activities; and (iii) generate results that can feed into a CGE model
