Tenders are invited for Baseline Data Collection - Understanding and Addressing Gender-Based Violence in Public Transport for Highly Vulnerable Groups in Dar ES Salaam, Tanzania. Publication Date: 09-Dec-2021 Expression of Interest Deadline: 16-Dec-2021 In this project we aim to contribute to the understanding of both the key issues of measurement and reporting of violence against women (VAW) in public transport. We will provide a GBV reporting mobile application (app) to female University students, allowing them to record the various types of incidents they experience and witness, as well as their perceptions of safety during their daily commute around the city in space and over time. In particular, we plan to conduct a baseline survey in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, prior to the students installing and using the GBV mobile reporting app. After the baseline interview, study participants assigned to the treatment group will use the mobile app for 4-6 months, after which we plan to conduct an endline survey with the full original sample.
